Here is something that can be really scary.... when someone in your hunting party is injured and suddenly needs serious medical help!
One tip that can make a difference if paramedics need to find you when you are in the woods:  Before you head out to hunt, find out what the address is of the nearest residence to where you are hunting. Pay attention to the names of cross roads at intersections near your point of entry too. That way you will have some valuable information if you need to call 911.

Another respected name in the hunting world is Ron Spoomer.
He shared a trick to help you when it comes to that moment when you have the deer in your sights.
He pointed out that you really need to think about where to place your shot and don't just shoot at the whole animal!
Mr Spoomer said, "The trick is to pre-visualize your shot. Think about and train yourself to focus on and aim at that tiny crease behind the deer’s front leg. It is the spot tight behind the shoulder, a third up from the brisket. This is the spot, not the whole animal or the whole chest. Aim small; miss not at all."
